Haarlem Art Route 2026

During Kunstlijn Haarlem, as I do every year, I invited a fellow artist to exhibit with me. This year, I invited painter Holly van de Coevering. I’m always looking for art that complements my ceramics. Holly’s paintings feature delicate, layered washes of color that are clearly inspired by nature in Bennebroek, where she has her studio. Her background as an architect and illustrator is evident in the fact that her work has a graphic quality to it, but in a very beautiful, ethereal way. This is also reflected in the glazes on my wheel-thrown vases and bowls, for which I, too, draw inspiration from the nature around me.

This year, I'll be open both weekends—November 7–8 and November 14–15.

Lilo Keramiek at the GLUE Amsterdam Design Event

During the annual Amsterdam Design Event GLUE, I’ll be exhibiting alongside four other artists and designers at Dante 6, a fashion boutique located at 121 Utrechtsestraat. During GLUE Amsterdam, more than 140 designers, creators, and artists will be showcasing their work at Amsterdam’s top design hotspots, which you can visit via the GLUE route.

Come join us on Thursday, September 17 – Friday, September 18 – Saturday, September 19.

1,000 Vases

In the heart of Le Marais in Paris, I’m exhibiting these two vases as part of the 1000 Vases exhibition. This exhibition features more than 70 different artists from 40 countries. I’ve brought my “Dutch Skies” vases, inspired by the beautiful landscape of Parnassia aan Zee: “Winter in Parnassia” and “Driftwood at Sunset.” The exhibition is taking place during Maison d’Object Paris.

I'll be in Paris myself during the exhibition. I won't be there all day, so if you'd like to stop by, just send me a message.

Van Loon Museum Lecture: Ceramics in 4 Acts

On Saturday, August 15, at 6:00 p.m., I will give a lecture in the beautiful Van Loon Museum in Amsterdam, in its charming courtyard garden. During this interactive lecture, I’ll speak from behind my potter’s wheel about what ceramics entail in four acts: Earth, Water, Air, and Fire. The talk will be interspersed with poetic moments of reflection as I throw snuff bottles, such as those from the antique collection of Chinese snuff bottles on display in one of the period rooms. The lecture is part of the Ceramic Summer, which, in addition to the collection of antique snuff bottles, also features exhibitions by Koost Buster and Peggy Wauters. You can register on the website.
