About Liselore Halink
My name is Liselore, and I started LiLo Keramiek in 2013 after graduating from the Dutch Ceramics School in Gouda. I’m happiest when I’m behind my potter’s wheel! I draw inspiration from the beautiful surroundings of Haarlem: the sea, the dunes, the Spaarne River that flows past my shop, and, above all, the stunning skies of Haarlem.
The Studio
LiLo Ceramic Studio is located in the historic artisan district of Haarlem: the Burgwal, once famous for its Haarlem Blue and home to as many as 36 pottery workshops. It’s the oldest part of Haarlem and is right near the Teylers Museum. I work here every day at my potter’s wheel, and you can visit my shop at the front.
My Work
I became known as Lilo Keramiek for my delicate wheel-thrown pieces with colorful microcrystalline glazes. For years, my tableware was shipped all over the world. Lately, I’ve also been focusing on free-form work, creating large bowls and vases featuring abstract landscapes, painted with my signature glazes. These are all one-of-a-kind pieces, so I sign them with my own name.
Courses/Workshops
I’ve recently started teaching again in my own studio, and you can learn from a true master in the most beautiful craft there is: pottery. I teach both beginners and advanced students, and with my years of experience as a production potter and artist, I’m happy to teach you the finer points of the craft. You can also take a stoneware glazing course with me. You can also book a one-time workshop with your coworkers, friends, or family! Check below to see what’s available.
Exhibitions/Events
Check my calendar to see where you can find me outside of my studio. I regularly participate in ceramics markets, but I also exhibit both domestically and abroad. For example, this September you can find me at 1000Vases in Paris, and I’ll be at Glue Amsterdam, a new design event.I’ve alsobeen invited to a ceramics event in Jingdezhen, China, this coming October.
